Bubonic plague

Definition

Bubonic plague (bubo; Greek : swollen lymphnode) is a zoonotic disease caused by Yersinia pestis (formerly known as Pasteurella pestis), circulating mainly among small rodents and their infective fleas and affects the lymph nodes.
