Definition

Malignant neoplasms originating from the transitional epithelium of the lip (excluding oral mucosa and skin of the outer lip) or from the underlying anatomical structures (e.g. orbicularis oris muscle).

Exclusions

• Malignant neoplasm of skin of lip
• Malignant mesenchymal neoplasms
