Definition

A metabolic disorder characterised by glucose levels too high to be considered normal, though not high enough to meet the criteria for diabetes.

Exclusions

• Diabetes mellitus, other specified type
• Idiopathic Type 1 diabetes mellitus
• Type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Diabetes mellitus, type unspecified
• Elevated blood glucose level

Inclusions

• prediabetes
• Impaired glucose regulation
