Chronic migraine

CategoryDefinition
Headache occurring on 15 or more days per month for more than three months, which, on at least eight days per month, has the features of migraine headache and is not associated with medication overuse.
Diagnostic Criteria
A. Headache (tension-type and/or migraine) on ?15 days per month for at least 3 month
B. Occurring in a patient who has had at least five attacks fulfilling criteria for Migraine without aura and/or Migraine with aura
C. On ?8 days per month for at least 3 months one or more of the following criteria were fulfilled:
1. Criteria B and C for Migraine without aura
2. Criteria B and C for Migraine with aura
3. Headache treated and relieved by a triptan or an ergot
D. Not attributed to another disorder
