Nausea or vomiting

Definition

Nausea is the feeling of having an urge to vomit. Vomiting is forcing the contents of the stomach up through the oesophagus and out of the mouth.

Exclusions

• haematemesis neonatal
• Functional nausea or vomiting
• psychogenic vomiting
